Our story
Summer Press began with a simple question: what if an ancient pressure-based ritual could feel completely at home in modern life?
Acupressure has long used intentional pressure on the body as a way to encourage awareness, ease and rest. We did not invent that tradition, and we do not want to disguise it. Our idea is to honour its simplicity while giving it a new form: colourful, tactile and easy to return to every day.
A ritual underfoot
Our feet carry us through almost everything, yet they are often the last part of the body we pause to notice. A textured surface underfoot creates an immediate sensory experience. It invites you to slow down, shift your weight and pay attention to how your body feels in the moment.
Many people use foot acupressure as part of a wind-down routine or as a brief reset after long periods of standing, walking or sitting. The experience may help tired feet feel stimulated and can support a sense of relaxation. It is not about pushing through discomfort; it is about finding a level of pressure that feels useful to you.
Why the feet?
Traditional acupressure systems map many pressure points across the feet—from the toes and ball of the foot through the arch and heel. Rather than focusing on one small area, a pressure-point mat makes contact with many of these sensitive areas at once, creating rich, varied sensation across the sole.
The feet are also densely responsive to touch. That makes them a natural place for a simple pressure ritual: stand, breathe, shift your weight and let the texture bring your attention back to the present. Practitioners have worked with foot pressure points for generations as part of broader wellbeing traditions. We take inspiration from that history without treating it as a medical promise.

An ancient idea, in a new form
Traditional wellness objects are often designed to be hidden away. We wanted to make something different—an everyday object with colour, shape and personality, designed to live beside the bed, under a desk or near the sofa.
Petal Press and Prism Press offer reversible softer and firmer textures, so the ritual can meet you where you are. Wave Press brings a more focused, contoured feel. Each shape is our contemporary interpretation of a very old idea: that intentional pressure and a moment of attention can help us reconnect with the body.
Made for real life
Summer Press is not about perfect routines or dramatic promises. It is about making a small pause easier to reach—a tactile moment while the kettle boils, between meetings or before bed.
We are bringing a new form to an ancient tradition: softer in colour, considered in shape and ready to become part of everyday life.
